The Elephant Collective Showcase is based upon the original songs and compositions of Sage Cook & Dango Rose (founding members of Elephant Revival) alongside Sam Burchfield, singer-songwriter extraordinaire from Atlanta, GA. Joining the trio will be Aera Fox of “WE DREAM DAWN” plus special guests from the Elephant Collective’s musicians’ network.
Special guest openers include Mackenzie Page of Gypsy Moon, Skye Lewis of Woodshed Red, and Kingdom Jasmine.
Raised in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of South Carolina, Sam Burchfield was brought up on Appalachian music: folk, gospel, country and souther soul. The young songwriter draws on these roots with a deep lyrical honesty and carries the tradition of folk music forward.
Sage Cook is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter and soil health advocate hailing from the Gypsum Hills of Kansas. Co-founder of WE DREAM DAWN and Elephant Revival, Sage has spent the last 15 years engaging audiences in heart to heart conversation through music with meaning.
Dango Rose embraces a passion for music as a vital healing influence and spiritual path. He creates and collaborates to support harmony and truth. Born with a poet's soul and a warrior's heart his life's journey has been one of transformation.
Mackenzie Page is an indie folk singer-songwriter from Denver, Colorado. She serenades with her unique style of sultry indie-folk with elegant guitar and tenor banjo accompaniment. Her songwriting draws from a deep reverence for nature, poetry, and 30’s jazz; evoking sounds of an older time, while adding a modern rock and roll twist. She was a founding member of the former band Gipsy Moon and has since been touring under her own name, while gearing up to release her full-length debut album in May of 2020.
In Gipsy Moon, Page performed sold out shows with the likes of Devotchka, Elephant Revival, Ayla Nereo, Fruition, and more, and guested at many festivals including High Sierra Music Festival, North West String Summit, and Arise just to name a few. Page now tours as a trio or quartet, with drummer Skye Lewis of Woodshed Red and is currently booking festivals and support tours for 2020.
